In case you have any more questions

  • Our team is committed to providing high quality and evidence-based support for people with persistent pain. While this may include psychosocial support as you adjust to changes in your pain management plan (including medication changes), we cannot prescribe or review your pain medication for you. You will need to talk to you doctor about this.

  • The psychologists in our team play an important role when it comes to providing an evidence-based pain service. Impacts from physical injuries and persistent pain can be far-reaching in all aspects of a person’s life, including their family, work, and social lives. Psychology services can help people experiencing pain work through some of these impacts and make sense of what is happening in their body and mind, while developing self-management strategies.

  • Physiotherapists primarily help manage injury recovery working with a person’s musculoskeletal system (muscles and joints).

    Occupational Therapist will focus on improving functionality with specific aims to achieving life skills (like being able to drive your car with less pain for instance).

    Evidence shows that working together with an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist can help with persistent pain goals, especially when supplemented with psychology services.

    An Exercise Physiologist specialises in clinical exercise-based interventions for people with a broad range of health issues, including persistent pain, and assist to restoring a person’s optimal physical function.
